What we do

Stichting Reckoning designs safe spaces in public settings for personal and social transformation. These safe spaces can be in the form of art interventions, exhibits, and workshops. These interactions help create a better future for local communities, as well as highlight global issues to bring about lasting change - one person at a time.

How we do it

Stichting Reckoning seeks to initiate personal and social transformation by us- ing art in public spaces. This space becomes a multi-sensory art intervention that guides a participant through a creative learning experience.

Our objectives

The aim is to organize mobile art projects in city centers as well as multicultural neighborhoods in partnership with existing local art institutions, organizations, large projects and festivals.

Each project will incorporate all the senses, creating a holistic experience for each participant. Every project commissions various artists to design works that support the overall theme of the project.

The desired outcome translates into these responses:

  • Increased compassion and empathy for one another in global communities.
  • Catalyzed transformation of accepted local and global issues.
  • Empowered and developed young artists to combine their gifts, talents and passions to create a platform for creativity, using it as a vehicle for personal and social transformation.
  • Provided opportunities for establishewd artists to mentor and develop young artisans.
  • Engaged more of the general public with cultural expressions of art by using public spaces.
  • Encouraged the development of the art community to move beyond
self-interest and embrace art for the sake of humanity and creativity.
