As we work through the pillars of character with our artpieces, I am still amazed at how little we all speak of virtues we base so muchof our decisions on. Respect is something we all desire from others and yetdisrespectful behaviors and actions seem to be more common especially withchildren in how they treat each other. Bullying is the number one problem inmost schools, which indicates a level of tolerance for disrespectful attitudesand behaviors.

The RespectWeaves are an interesting activity to do as you have the space to connect withhow you desire to be to yourself and others, and also how you have experienceddisrespect directed towards you and from you in a non-threatening or shamingfashion. 

The mentors and the students created beautiful weaves filledwith meaning and reflection on how they desire to be and the present strugglein becoming that person.
