  • Shawna Snow Founder/Director

    Shawna worked with enthusiasm as a public school science teacher in California. She earned her Master’s Degree in Global Urban Leadership and put classroom learning into action over the past two decades in urban and cross-cultural environments in the US, Europe and Africa. The Amsterdam-based development specialist loves travel and literature.

  • Shayna Schapp: Art Designer

    Shayna Schapp is an artist living and working in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Her relentless belief in the potential for transformation through the creative process led her to work as Art Coordinator for LEAD. She is also an instructor for the Interactive/Media/Design department at the Royal Academy of Art in the Hague, a new program weaving social responsibility and personal leadership development into a media arts education, and is the art editor for Versal, the international art and literary annual out of Amsterdam. Shayna has lived in Amsterdam for 4 years.

  • Kaisa Stenberg: Implementation Team Leader

    Kaisa is a Finn who studied education in the University of Wales, Bangor (Bachelor of Arts, Childhood Studies). After that she has worked with families and young people for non-profit organisations in Amsterdam.  “I enjoy exploring life with people from different cultural backgrounds and seeking together ways to better connect with life, ourselves and one other. There are very few things that excite me more than seeing growth and transformation in people’s lives that cause whole families, communities and eventually societies change into something more beutiful, more real. For me working with LEAD is all about these profound developments that we see taking place through the unique Reckoning approach and art education.”
  • Trish Webb Wisdom Teacher

    Trish has over 10 years of primary school teaching experience in public and private schools. As a classroom teacher, she has worked in economically diverse and multicultural settings with a range of students and their families. After living in Seattle, WA for 4 years, Trish and her family have just relocated to Amsterdam.

  • Els Knowles: Student Staff Liaison

    Els Knowles is a Dutch artist currently working on her Master’s degree in counseling and coaching. She is the Student Staff Liaison at LEAD, helping students and staff to cultivate their unique talents and better understand how they fit into the “big picture” of life. Els spent her childhood in a vibrant multicultural community and has lived and worked in several countries. She volunteered as a mentor with a variety of women’s ministries in The Hague for twelve years and in 2000, she helped setup Superstars, a non-profit children’s ministry for toddlers. Due to her background, experience and personality, Els is a natural at connecting with and developing the strengths in others in a variety of contexts – particularly an international one such as LEAD.
  • Jenni Iyoyo: Communications Coordinator

    Jenni Iyoyo, a native from London England, now lives and works in Amsterdam for the past 17 years. She is on the InSite team for Reckoning as the Communications Coordinator. She does so much that no one really sees, which makes her invaluable to our team. What does she do in her spare time when not working for InSite? You can find her at the Amsterdam International Community School as she is the Admission/Public Relations Officer. Jenni is married and has two lovely children.

  • Jane Hanna: School/Community connector

    Jane Hanna is on the InSite Leadership Team as the School/Community connector. She is the Community and Service (CAS) coordinator at the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) as well as the Science Lab technician for Biology, Chemistry and Physics. She is a wife and mother of two, a current student getting her second Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Liverpool, and a NASA Ambassador, not to mention a breast cancer survivor. Her passion: people – empowering, encouraging, engaging and promoting social responsibility through connecting young people, sharing resources and knowledge to help create more of what is right in the world.
