24 is a collection of charcoal drawings which illustrate what’s in the hearts and imaginations of youth living in urban cities, townships and informal settlements in South Africa and those living in urban Amsterdam.
Reckoning’s first collaborative collection of young artists from Amsterdam and South Africa. Students from Reckoning’s LEAD after school program and students in the local communities Reckoning’s InSite teams work with while in South Africa, answered the same questions, using the same mediums as a way to bridge cultures and discover how to help those whom they’ve never met.
24 is a way to raise awareness and needed resources for both communities: Solar lights for those students living off the grid in South Africa and continued funding for Reckoning’s work with the youth in Amsterdam.
